Hey, I’m Jen 👋
I’m a portrait photographer based in Crozet and Charlottesville, and here’s what I know for sure:
The best photos happen when you feel safe enough to be yourself.
That’s why my work isn’t about perfection or curated trends. It’s about presence. Comfort. Real connection.
I’m queer and neurodivergent, and I’ve spent years learning how to hold space for people who’ve been told they’re “too much,” “too quiet,” or somehow not photogenic enough.
I believe every body, every story, and every way of being deserves to be seen with care.
What working with me is like:
You’ll get gentle direction if you want it, but mostly—we’ll laugh, wander, and let moments unfold naturally.
We’ll choose a location that feels right for you (trail, creek, mountaintop, your own backyard).
If you need sensory breaks? We’ll take them.
If you want to bring your dog, your best friend, or a comfort object? Absolutely.
This is a consent-led, no-judgment, come-as-you-are space.
When I’m not doing photoshoots…
You’ll find me hiking local trails with my kiddo, curled up with a good book, or obsessing over golden hour light even when I’m off the clock. Here are some fun facts about me:
I’m fueled by coffee, curiosity, and conversations that go a little deeper than small talk.
I’m a single mama by choice, which means my daughter is donor-conceived. She is my WHOLE WORLD!!!
We have a Miniature Schnauzer named Zazu who currently has a mohawk and go-go boots.
I’m from Louisiana, my favorite food is boiled crawfish.

Ready to create something real?
If you’re looking for portraits that feel like you—soft, joyful, awkward, bold, or anything in between—I’d love to meet you.
